|February 26 – March 4||EXTERNAL ROTATION OF THE HIP
For most of us, finding an external rotation of our hips is challenging to say the least. We’ll explore how to open the hips safely in 2 poses this month: Warrior 2 and Half Moon. By working to stabilize the back leg, we’ll begin to find more freedom in the front. And when’s there’s more freedom in the front leg, the sky, or in our case, the moon’s the limit!
|March 5-11||ABDUCTION HIP
Now that we’ve begun to create a little more space around the hip joint, we can start to play with drawing the legs further apart, expanding the boundaries of what we previously thought was impossible for our hips and ourselves.
|March 12-18||WARRIOR TWO
This week, we’ll broaden our knowledge of Warrior 2 and Half Moon in different variations.
|March 19-25||LIFT OFF
We’ve established our Warrior selves fiercely in Virabhadrasana 2, now we’re ready to pounce! Moving into Half Moon has its own challenges as we bring the back leg airborne, but the principles we’ve established from the beginning are the same.
