Take Your Practice to the Next Level with 216Since 2014, Yoga 216 has been offering Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training programs for aspiring teachers and yogis who want to expand their practice with deeper knowledge! We teach personalized, alignment-based vinyasa for use in private and small group settings. We have developed our approach out of the lineage of Mukunda Stiles’s Structural Yoga Therapy, which informs our alignment principles.
About our Trainings
The 216 approach is steeped in an understanding of how our muscles move us. You’ll gain in-depth functional anatomical knowledge of the whole body, as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to your own asana practice in our Next Level Series of modules. The series rounds out with an introduction to the elements of sharing yoga through teaching asana (postures) for those interested in continuing on to our Teaching Yoga training. We limit our programs to six people in order to honor a personalized learning environment.
Who should enroll?
Any student of yoga is welcome to apply for one or all six modules in our Next Level Series. Each 4-week module is meant to deepen the student’s personal practice, while also setting the foundation for those interested in teaching yoga. Students wishing to continue on to the Teaching Yoga training must successfully complete the full Next Level Series or our Functional Anatomy for Yoga Teachers program to be invited to apply.
Upon successful completion of the Yoga 216 Next Level Series (6 modules, 200 hours) you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200, and continue on to the Yoga 216 Teaching Yoga 300-hour Training program. Upon successful completion of the 300-hour program, you will receive the certification of Yoga 216 Teacher and eligibility for YA RYT 500.
The Yoga 216 teacher training programs are led by studio owner Nicole Katz and senior teacher Esther Palmer, a dynamic and richly skilled team to lead you on this journey. Stellar guest teachers will introduce you to special topics including Ayurveda, Sanskrit, and Yoga History. As with all 216 classes, our teacher training programs are limited to six students per group.
