DEEPEN YOUR PRACTICE
LEVEL 1 TEACHER TRAINING
You’ll learn anatomy + kinesiology of the trunk and limbs, apply it to exploring your practice of asana (postures) and sun salutations.
You’ll discuss yoga philosophy with comparisons of multiple translations of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra.
You’ll learn pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques that you can use in every day life.
You’ll develop a home practice that you can take with you well beyond the final day of the program.
We’ll introduce you to the anatomy of the subtle body, Ayurveda for daily wellbeing, and restorative yoga for deep rest.
We’ll help you bring it all together with teaching tools that to craft your new knowledge into sequences that address a particular asana focus, whether for your use or for teaching others.
Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to teach a class to your peers! This is an exhilarating and educational experience for everyone, regardless of long-term teaching aspirations.
All teachers in the Teacher Training programs teach at Yoga 216 and have completed a thorough apprenticeship with Nicole and Esther.
Any student of yoga is welcome to register for our Level 1 Teacher Training.
